I limit myself to one piece of cinnamon-sugar-sprinkled-buttered-toast with my bacon and eggs for breakfast. I saw this recipe on Pinterest months ago and was in need of some comfort this morning, so I whipped up a batch of this butter. It’s from the Pioneer Woman, and it really is all things safe, warm, and loving! I had FOUR pieces! I didn’t pause to take a breath or even a picture. The picture I included here was taken hours after consuming those four slices when I made another batch for my daughter. Here’s the recipe:
2 sticks of softened butter (I always have butter sitting out on the counter waiting for me)
1 cup granulated sugar
3 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
A dash of nutmeg
Slices of good bread (my homemade white bread was wonderful!)
Mix all ingredients together. Slather cinnamon-sugar-butter on your bread and bake at 350* for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
